About Music & Arcades Inc.

I’m Francis Duchesne, a Montreal-based producer, developer, and the artist behind the synthwave project ARCADES. Music & Arcades Inc. is the intersection of my two biggest passions: Music and Machines.

Musical Background

For almost 25 years now, my work as a musician spans multiple genres within the Montreal scene. I am the guitarist for the sci-fi stoner rock band Sons of Arrakis. In parallel, I also have great fun with ARCADES - 11th Dimension and its live show that integrates programmed lighting, a custom stage design utilizing CRT televisions and a whole bunch of nerdy stuff !

Software Development

On the software side, I design and code digital audio utilities aimed at solving specific workflow bottlenecks in studio environments. My debut commercial release is MasterBusListen, a cross-platform network audio streamer. It is designed to broadcast low-latency audio from a DAW or system audio directly to mobile devices (iOS/Android) and web browsers over local Wi-Fi.

The roadmap and philosophy for Music & Arcades Inc. are strictly based on utility and reliability.

My goals are to:

• Develop and release a growing catalog of practical, workflow-enhancing audio plugins.

• Provide stable tools that are rigorously tested in professional environments for real-world scenarios (mix checking, studio collaboration, and education).

• Maintain a direct, one-on-one technical support structure, ensuring that when users have questions or feedback, they communicate directly with the developer who wrote the code.
